The biggest figure I have made to date.
Taken off a Pinterest pin, PROMETHEUS GUNDAM was started at a friends “Gunpla Night”. Just a regular pal-around where everyone builds a random Gunpla kit they supply. (Gunpla, by the way, is just another wording for ‘Gundam Model Kit’.) But of course… I had other plans.
With several packs of pipecleaners, I was able to start the main torso. Along with being the biggest model I have built to date, its also the first model I had to build in pieces; Almost like an actual model kit.
The entire thing is fully pose-able, but due to weight and posing restrictions, I had to tether him to the base with a stripped pipecleaner core.
Most difficult thing about this build? Probably the whole thing…? The gun wasn’t as challenging as it looks. But between the opening missile pods, the detail, and the two sharpies I went through to get the orange dark enough, I would say this project would probably be one of my most expensive if I decided to sell it.
